It’s
happening on May 16 this year. Like once in every five years we people decided
the fate of our Tamil Nadu State by voting for the state assembly. Once the date
has announced parties and alliance are formed and their vigorous campaign
started with different mandate and their own agenda. Common people like us like
to know more about their hidden agenda. For
the past two decades the decision is always back and forth between AIADMK and
DMK. There were no strong alternative leader and parties to be considered. In
this election there are other parties and alliance also giving a strong completion
to both AIADMK+ and DMK+ like People’s Welfare Front and National Democratic
Alliance. This time there is indecisive among people for whom to vote.
I am telling
you upfront I am not writing this to make your decision easy. This is the
wishful thinking of common (wo)man like me to have a potential candidate for
Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. I am a
dreamer. One can dream can’t I?
- The person should be Walk the Talk. They should inspire us by living and not by talking. Making too many promises during election campaign but after getting elected the same old is happening with no improvement.
- The person should not have any criminal records. They should be free from all scandals and corruptions.
- The person should not own any Television channels. Now-a-days each party own different channel and they easily manipulate from news to everything.
- The person should meet people and press. He/she should show respect and dignity they deserve. Preferably to focus on younger generation children and youth and their well being. They need to open more about social media where they can be easily reachable. Prefer person who visit each and every Government department to enhance their functions.
- Prefer the Person to be single/unmarried. No family at least that will refrain them from plundering government assets and money. Wishful thinking I know. That is not the case in Tamil Nadu isn’t it?
- Their party should not be based on religion, caste and race. If it is based on these isn’t it against the secularism where it’s the very base of our Indian constituents.
- Prefer the person to work in any profession before entering the politics. There should be an unwritten policy that person from Tamil Cinema Industry to be barred. I don’t know when Tamil Nadu people going to see that film heroes are not real heroes. There are just entertainers.
- Prefer the person to be very strong and confident. When there is dispute with other states, central government or even other country. They should vigorously support tamil people well being. From Kaveri river water dispute to fisherman problem they have to take a strong stance and solution to those problems.
Now and in
near future there is no such possible person come under the wishful list I have
mentioned. On the second thought we had
a person abide my entire wishful list actually go above and beyond my thought. Last
year July we lost him due to cardiac arrest. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Our former President
of India whom the press dubbed as “Missile Man” and “People’s President”. I am
proud to live during his presidential tenure. We can dream in future someone
like him will rule our nation.
